An excellent solution to our requirements

We needed a tool that would allow us to gather information about live music events in our region and publish them online. The information in the database would then be exported to a CSV file and manipulated into our monthly printed magazine – oh, and we needed the facility to allow registered users to add their own events.

To give you an idea of scale, we have at any one time over 4,000 live events spread across a potential 1,500 venues, many small clubs and pubs.

We tried most of the available WordPress events plugins both free and subscription based but settled on The Events Calendar because, although not perfect, it was the nearest and best fit for our requirements. To qualify that, no out-of-the-box solution will be 100% there for a sprcific need – for that you need bespoke!
