An event page with shortcodes not working as sub page, only as root-level page

    Hello,
    I have a page with the shortcode to control event scope.
    (Example: [events_list scope=”tomorrow”]… )

    I noticed event pages with shortcodes only work as ROOT level pages
    (example: domain.com/todays-events/)

    they do not work as sub pages:
    (example: domain.com/events/todays-events/
    The error is a standard 404 not found

    Is this a bug? Why doesn’t this work?
