    Hi AAM,

When updating from version 3.2.3 to version 3 I receive the following error message:

An error occurred while updating Advanced Access Manager: Could not copy file. advanced-access-manager/autoloader.php

Unfortunately my client is stuck on PHP 5.3 and the hosting provider won’t upgrade and my client won’t move their site and I’m just wondering if it’s PHP related?

I can manually updated the plugin via FTP but I would prefer not to.

    Kind regards,

    Simon

  • Hi Simon,

    Thank you for your question.

AAM is totally fine to work on PHP 5.2 or higher and this message is not PHP related.

I would suggest to delete wp-content/plugins/advanced-access-manager folder and re-upload AAM plugin manually. It is most likely permission issue on your server.

    Regards,
    Vasyl
