Recently I installed the Jetpack plugin, it seems to conflict with Login with Ajax. As soon as I enable Jetpack, the plugin mentions ‘an error occured, please try again’ when I try to login.
I’m still able to login through \wp-admin.
When I deactivate Jetpack, the error no longer occurs and Login with Ajax works properly again.
    Any ideas?

I’m running JetPack with LWA on a few sites without any issues.

My guess is it’s a specific module in JetPack that’s causing issues, and possibly the configuration of that module.

Could you try narrowing that down? You could deactivate them all in bulk, test and then activate one by one or in batches until you narrow it down. Hopefully you’ll find the culprit and then post a screenshot somewhere of the configuration of that module. If we can reproduce, we’ll certainly try to fix.

How I got the the specific cause:
    – re-activated Jetpack, LWA still works
    – Connected Jetpack to WordPress.com, LWA stopped working, even though all specific WordPress.Com tools are inactive!
    – deactivated all modules, LWA worked again.
    – started reactivating them, a lot of clicks later, the ‘Protect’ module seems to give the problem.
When all modules are activated, but Protect is deactivated, I can login.
When all modules are deactivated, but Protect is activated, I can’t login.

Protect doesn’t seem to have many settings, just an IP whitelist containing one IP (my current IP)

I had tested earlier on a WP-connected site and all was fine. Protect is also active there too, I’m not actually getting an error.

Could you post a link to your site? My guess is your specific IP is getting blocked, although the fact that it allows you to log in via the wp admin area doesn’t add up.

works for me with an invalid combo, I get

‘ERROR: The username or password you entered is incorrect. Lost your password?’

if you want to submit a valid login to http://msyk.es/contact-me/ but then if you’re getting this error even for fake usernames the solution may simply be to whitelist your ip.

got your login, works for me… Protect must be blocking you specifically. Have you tried from another computer, or maybe a phone via 3g and not the same wifi as your PC?

I’ve whitelisted my hope IP, not sure why it was blocked, but after adding my ip to the whitelist of protect, LWA works correctly.

    Thanks for your support!
