An AMP component ‘script’ tag is present, but unused

    Hello,

    Google Search Console is reporting the error “An AMP component ‘script’ tag is present, but unused.” There are several scripts on my amp page that do not appear to have corresponding html elements. For example, there’s a script for “custom-element=”amp-form”. The issue can be reproduced by:

    1. In AMP settings > Design > Header > Menu Search, switch it to ON, and then set “After Menu” to ON.

    A search form will appear under the menu, and the “amp-form” script will get appended. But there is no “amp-form” component in the html.

    Can you please advise, how could I go about getting this error removed?

    We haven’t received any yet. It might be a conflict with other plugins. Can you please give it a try by deactivating the plugins one by one on your site and let me know back if the issue is persistent or not? So that we will assist you accordingly to resolve your issue.

    Hello,

    This issue is happening when all other plugins are deactivated. It can be reproduced by using WordPress’ Twenty Twenty-One theme and following the steps I outlined in my first post here.
