Support » Plugin: WP Fastest Cache » An amazing plugin

  • I deleted WP Rocket while I had my site in Maintenance Mode, as I wasn’t always able to quickly see the effect of changes I had made while working on it. When I was ready to remove Maintenance Mode, I could not immediately find where I had stored the WP Rocket install file, so to get back on line, I tried a number of the available Caching Plugins found in the WordPress Repository – i.e. W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, and the paid for version of Swift Performance, which I had purchased 8 months or so ago, but had removed in favour of Rocket.
I was not particularly impressed with the results of any of them, so I finally installed the free version of WP Fastest Cache.
Being the Free version, settings that can be selected are somewhat limited – I selected most of them.
I was astounded that, after giving the cache a short time to form, my site load speeds in GT Metrix was now showing as being around 2.5 seconds. I had struggled With Rocket to realise a load speed of less than 4.5 to 5 seconds – and I was never happy with the (for me) clunky interface, with pre-load warm up”, and buttons that were unexplained nearby, nor by the excessive time it seemed to take to rebuild the Cache anyway.
So, I will not be renewing my WP Rocket, or Swift Performance subscriptions.

I will however, provided Fastest Cache continues to deliver like this for a few weeks, be taking out a subscription for the payed for version. This will not be so much to try for even better performance, but rather that I feel the author of this plugin deserves my support for his very effective work, with its simple and intuitive interface. Thank you to Emre Vona
