Can someone please tell me what the line “amzn_assoc_linkid = “c3e7708d571ee26603f97ac0f4cfad5e”; in the Ad Inserter sample code is used for and how I find what that actual value needs to be for my ad? I cannot find anything in their documentation to help me understand this. What they provide in documentation is just a sample code without any explanation of this particular value. When I search here in the forum, everyone showing that particular link has a different value in that field and I cannot tell where/how they are getting that link. It isn’t the tracking ID (that is added higher in the code) and it isn’t the associates ID. I’ve been searching online for over two hours and cannot come up with anything. Any guidance deeply appreciated! Here is a link to the page that is explaining this linking process: How to dynamically show related Amazon products – Ad Inserter Pro

    Thank you!

    Hello,

this line is part of the Amazon ad code:
    https://adinserter.pro/documentation/common-settings#amazon

You can get the your ad codes with your IDs when you sign up for Amazon affiliate:

Unfortunately – though I really appreciate a response – that does not answer my question. I am an affiliate and there is nothing that I can locate in the links you provided, the pages I have reviewed throughout the affiliate site and under the Ad Inserter documentation, where that particular link ID comes from. The only place I have found any reference to the linkid is in Ad Inserter screen shots. Nothing with that type of tag is anyplace else. When I update the code snippets with my affiliate information and the correct tracking id – but leave that linkid as it is in the snippet, I get a visible link on my website, but that doesn’t tell me anything regarding where the link in the sample snippet is coming from or what it should actually tie back to. Regretfully, I decided after spending a lot of time on this today that I would just remove the Ad Inserter plugin from my site. Unless I can find out the purpose of that specific line in the code sample, I just don’t feel comfortable using the code on my website. Thank you again for responding.

    Hello,

what you are asking is a question for Amazon. This line is part of their ad code and only they know how their code works and what the parameters mean. There are code examples on the documentation pages showing how Amazon and other ad codes can be configured. You should use your own ad codes.

Regarding Amazon ads: the example code on the page is the code we got from our Amazon associates account. I have no clue what the parameter amzn_assoc_linkid means. Basically you should use your ad codes you got from your Amazon account.
