Hi. I am trying to enter the settings page of the AMP plugin. However, a blank screen greets me. I deleted the plugin and installed it again. I also deleted the things belonging to the plug-in on the database and installed it again. However, that didn’t fix the problem either. Is there a general problem?

That does indeed sound unusual, have you been able to access the settings page previously? If you want to share any console errors here or privately via this form we’d be happy to take a look.

You may also wish to check are you able to access the plugins settings when in “Troubleshooting” mode using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, after activating the plugin simply click on the “Trousbleshoot” button next to the AMP plugin, from your wp-admin plugins page. This can help rule out any third party plugin or theme conflicts.

I installed the plugin, but nothing changed in the troubleshooting mode. I have no concessions about why this happened.

That does indeed sound unusual. If you want to share your Site Health information privately via this form I can check and see if I notice anything unusual.

I did a research today. First, I looked at the error log file in the directory where WordPress is installed. I constantly saw an error with the Rank math plugin here. As a result of my search, I realized that this error occurred as a result of incorrect regex redirects.

I wanted the AMP plugin to be used on my pages. However, I don’t want AMP on the home page. That’s why I opened the home page in the block editor and turned off AMP. But there was still AMP on the homepage. So I removed the AMP version of the homepage with the regex redirect from the Rank math plugin’s redirect page. I think this caused an error.

I also installed the add-on called Query Monitor. After installing it the problem was resolved. I can access the settings tab of the AMP plugin and share icons appear in my AMP articles.

Thank you for helping me through this difficult process.

Many thanks for sharing these useful insights. Should other users encounter the same experience this is a useful check to consider.

If you have any further queries be sure to get in touch. Likewise once you get a chance to test out your AMP URLs we’d love to hear your plugin feedback.
