AMP & Required structured data element & Featured Image

    I am receiving emails stating there is a required structured data element issue with AMP and have been told my posts all need to have a featured image…

    I’m a recruiter. I never post images with my job postings or my blogs. Does this mean I have to find images and post them anyway even if they have no relevance to the post?

    If that is the case, can I post the same image with every post or will that cause yet another problem?

    You need to ask at the plugin’s support forum.
    Keep in mind that you don’t have to use AMP, and that the structured data requirement should not dictate what you put on your web site. The structured data stuff is supposed to help you, not hinder you.

    Thank you. WordPress is not a language I understand. Where would I find an AMP plugin support forum?

    AMP 1.1.1? I don’t actually know what it is just that the person who usually takes care of my web site installed it and now I’m getting error messages.

    If you are in the admin and you can’t see the Plugins page, you need an admin account or contact the person who installed it.
    If you can see the Plugins page, the list shows the activated plugins in a color and the others as white. Each has a View Details link if it is from the WordPress repository.

    Clicking the View Details link brings up an overlay for the plugin’s details, and there is a link to the WordPress repository plugin page in the sidebar. The plugin’s page has the link to the plugin’s support forum here.
    If your plugin is not from here, we don’t support it here, and it won’t have the link to here. So you will have to find the support forum from wherever the plugin came from.
