Hello @bern007
Can you please send me the URL where you are facing a validation error so I can check it.
after on enabled the endpoint?amp the category pages start working?
Yes, after enabling the ?amp endpoint the category pages work, but I still have 404 errors in Search Console for category pages with the /amp structure and links to those pages that were shared on social media, etc. are no longer valid. Here’s one of the URLs that is no longer working: https://createwhimsy.com/category/creations/furniture/amp/
Thank you!
Hello @bern007
Can you please try to resave the permalink and check if it works or not.
after resaving the permalink if the problem still persists then please contact me on team@magazine3.com so I can personally look into it and will solve it for you.
resaving/flushing permalinks did not resolve the 404 errors I am getting for my category pages
example URL – https://www.androidexplained.com/samsung/galaxy-s6/amp
Hello bern007
Can you please enable the category base remove in amp option from advance setting.
Dashboard>AMP>setting>advance setting>category base remove in AMP
see this screenshot: http://take.ms/TDeEr
clear the cache and check again and let me know if it works or not.
I also changed to the /?amp endpoint. Is this supposed to “enforce” the ? mark? It is not so I have to type the /?amp into the url and I see when I do my featured image shows up, without the ? it does not. This is aside from the url’s not validating for “fix” in console. The actual domain.com/?amp validates fine but Google does not find the “?” so it throws error still.
thanks

Hello @dblinks
I have checked the URL which you have provide and there is no 404 error occurring see this screenshot:http://take.ms/jKqwH
Can you please explain your issue I mean are you facing the featured image missing in the AMP or getting 404 error so I can understand it better.
Please let me know so I can solve your issue immediately.
I changed the endpoint to /?amp as instructed. Should it not be forced to use that in the browser?
I never said I had a 404. If I turn on /?amp endpoint shouldn’t my amp url’s automatically convert to it?
Hello dblinks
Yes if you enabled the endpoint to ?amp then /?amp will add your website URL’s.
and its showing /?amp in the source code.
can you please tell me what is the issue you are facing.
@ampforwp,
Kindly help me to show amp page for category pages like https://indesilife.com/songs/amp/
it’s not working for the category page.
Thanks in advance
Hi @deepakbhagat,
It seems you have removed the category base in the non-amp version and if you want AMP in categories then you need to do two things first you need to enable category from general setting and you need to enable the Category base remove in AMP option – https://prnt.sc/ln0s04
