AMP Analytics Options Add New Entry Instructions?

Hi,

I recently installed your plugin and it seems to work great. It’s not causing the errors that the amp for wp plugin keeps creating.

But I don’t see instructions on how to properly add my google analytics code in your plugin which is:
UA-863344-4

Can you share the exact code I should be using in the following fields:
amp analyics settings

And will I be able to validate that the code is working properly by viewing the source and checking google analytics real time report?

I recently started to see my amp traffic disappear and it seemed to have happened after that other plugin had an update. So I’m hoping I will have better luck with your plugin and my search console amp errors disappear.

I’ve already validated the pages and they seem to be good now. But I can’t figure out this analytic situation. Thanks in advance for your help with this.

Well, I was able to figure it out on my own. For anyone else that runs into this, you can find the directions for how to properly fill in the analytics section of the plugin here:

It appears the proper code to use is found here:
https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/amp-analytics/

It would be useful if this was better explained right in the analytics section of the plugin so users don’t have to hunt this down.

Alternatively, you can also use the Yoast AMP Glue to add the analytics code and have a little more control over the colors of your amp pages.
You just need to copy the analytics code found here: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/amp-analytics/.

It seems to be even easier.

I hope this helps anyone else looking guidance on how to add analytics to your amp page. Because apparently support doesn’t seem to chime in for all support questions.

But despite this, this plugin seems to be better than the other amp plugin that constantly causes search console errors when they update it.

I need help with adding AMP tracking but none of this makes sense to me.
