I have set up an Amazon Associate account and have tried installing some of their widgets in my sidebar. I put the HTML in the text widget and hit save, but nothing appears on the site! I’ve been trying to get them working all day! Thanks in advance for any help!

If the Amazon widget has any javaScript code in there, it might get stripped out.
You’re best bet is to look for a plugin. Maybe this one?

Or go to your theme files and just stick the widget in your sidebar.php

Christine, thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I have downloaded and activated the plugin and still no widget in the sidebar. Could you please elaborate on how to put the widget in the sidebar.php? I was unsure if it could go anywhere in that section or if there was a certain location it needed to be in…thanks again for helping.

It really depends on the theme and if you do insert the code in your sidebar.php you will loose your changes if there’s a theme upgrade.

Did Amazon not provide you with some instructions on how to insert these widgets? Did they recommend a plugin?

    Here’s another here. –
I’m not sure if it’s what you need though.

Can you provide a link to your site please?

Thank you again for replying. The directions that Amazon gives is to copy and paste the HTML into your blog, nothing more than that, no plugin. I did download the plugin but it is still not showing up on my site. Thanks for your help!

Ok, found the problem…the adblocking software on the browser was preventing me from seeing it this whole time! Thank you so much for your help!
