• I’m looking to set up an Amazon store in a WordPress blog. I’m not looking to just add product links to posts. I actually want it to be a store front end that uses my Associates ID. I also need a free solution. I already have a fresh install of WordPress. What now? Any thoughts? Ideas?

    Thanks.

  • This is not possible on a WORDPRESS hosted site. You would have to self-host a wordpress blog in order to do what you want to do.

I’m on a self hosted site (sorry for not specifying earlier). Any further help would be appreciated.

You set it up in a text widget on the sidebar. At least that is what I have done. You could also give it it’s own Page and link to it from the sidebar or posts, etc.

I’m not talking about adding sidebar ads or setting up a page as an Amazon Astore. I’m talking about making the blog itself the store. I’ve seen this on some WordPress blogs and would like to implemet it myself. (I have also sent emails to a couple of these sites asking how they did it.)

Well, you could set it up on a Page and have the Page open first as a static page but . . . Do you have a url of one of these sites?

    There is also, http://storeblogs.com/

If they respond to you, let us know how they did it.

That appears to be a site that hosts the store for you. I’m trying to do the hosting myself.

No. That’s why I asked here. I was hoping someone here would have a theme or some sample code so I wouldn’t have to come up with something from scratch.

I keep trying to import products nothing happens ,but when I look at my blog I already have pages from what I setup ,but no amazon products.
