 * Greetings,
 * Just getting into the world of video players, especially video.js and found this
   plugin. The description page for the plugin gave me the impression that it only
   works with video files uploaded to the media library.
 * So my question is, can this plugin/player work with video files hosted on Amazon
   S3?
 * Thanks
    Calvin

 * My plugin works best with video files that have entries in the WordPress Media
   Library because the Media Library has a lot of metadata that helps the plugin
   work. But it is not required. There are certain features that don’t work with
   videos outside of the Media Library, like view counters, and using your browser
   to make thumbnails instead of FFMPEG. There are plugins that allow you to move
   your Media Library to Amazon S3 though. I know this one is popular [https://wordpress.org/plugins/amazon-s3-and-cloudfront/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/amazon-s3-and-cloudfront/)

 * In my case my videos are already hosted on amaxzon S3 and I knoow their URLs.
   But they are not public URLs you have to use S3 credentials to retreive them.(
   I think. This is all still new to me and I’m trying to figure it out.)

 * I don’t think there’s a way to make my plugin work with private URLs.
