# Amazon S3 curl error

 * Randomly today my backup that was scheduled with cron wouldn’t run. I get the
   following error: [curl] 6: Could not resolve host: s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com[
   url] [https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/](https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/)
 * Can you help me with a fix?

   Are you still getting this error? To me it sounds like a random DNS issue. If
   it is ongoing, please let us know. Or if this is resolved, please mark this topic
   as such.
