# Amazon Installation Help

 * Hello!
 * I’m looking to set up a WordPress page on AWS’ cloud. Amazon has some documentation
   on doing so that I’ve been able to dig up, but it’s rather dry reading. I was
   hoping that this is a common enough need that there would be a more plain language
   guide already on here, but the posts I found when I searched only gave information
   from several years ago. Considering how quickly these sort of things can change,
   I’m hesitant to trust that.
 * If anyone can point me to a recent-ish guide, I’d really appreciate it. Failing
   that, if someone could give me a high-level overview of getting set up with WordPress
   on AWS, it should at least help me understand some of the options Amazon is giving
   me, which will speed this process up quite a bit, I think.

 * I may be wrong, but I’m not so sure that AWS has become very popular with “small”
   WordPress users yet. I took a look a year ago myself, and decided it did not 
   make a lot of sense for me.

 * Thanks a bunch for that article– it’s been a huge help. I’m still encountering
   some problems getting set up, particularly because the interface for the last
   step has changed on AWS’s end and I’m… not entirely sure what to make of it.
 * I assume I’ll need to put in a support request with Amazon to get clarification,
   but they’ve been… rather slow to respond in the past, so I figured I’d at least
   ask here.

   newer version at this point:
