 * Does anyone have any useful references, step by step guide to installing wordpress
   on Amazon EC2 instance?
 * This is the entire site, including database.

   however covers windows server, and wordpress is best suited on linux/ubuntu..

 * Through a lot of digging, I found these tutorials specific to installing WP on
   AWS. The first is very command-line oriented, the second shows how to do it with
   the Bitnami WordPress stack.
