Amazon CDN options greyed out on localhost

The options for Amazon S3 and Cloudfront are greyed out and unselectable as a CDN option when used on localhost.

I am using MAMP and have the PHP extension php_curl but am now lost as to what to do next.

Does anyone have a solution?
