First, I would like to mention that we’re on a Windows installation with IIS6.

CDN is setup with Amazon and it looks like everything is in order. Media files are being pulled from CDN, but theme files are not. When I check the url for theme images it shows that they are coming from our server…ex: wp-content/themes/inspire/images/bg-breadcrumb.png?3f4f42

Do we have to upload those files manually to CDN?

    Thank you.
    Ray

  • By default, Amazon and most other CDN services generally do not cache URL’s that include a query string and your PNG image has ‘?3f4f42’ attached to it 🙂

    http://aws.amazon.com/cloudfront/

Search for “Query String Parameters” at the CloudFront site.

Any idea why our theme images have those alphanumeric characters at the end? Is this normal?

Well, the image extensions show normally when I disabled Wp-total cache. That’s confusing! If I activate it, then theme files won’t be served by the CDN. Am I missing something here?

    Please help

I figure this out. Minify was set to automatic, so I changed it to manual. Now theme images are fine and load from CDN.
