Amazon Associates widget not working

Hi

I’m trying to place an Amazon Associates widget at the top of my RH sidebar on my website, http://www.frankbukowski.com , displaying a slideshow of my books. Basically it involves getting a script from Amazon and pasting it in a text box in the RH sidebar.

The header ‘Frank’s books are available on Amazon’ appears fine. But the slideshow itself is being pushed to the very bottom of the web page. It seems to be caused by this plugin, since when I deactivate Autoptimize, the slideshow appears where it should in the sidebar. But when I switch Autoptimize back on again, the slideshow is pushed onto the bottom of the page.

Is there any kind of fix or workaround for this please? Any ideas welcome.

Hi Frank;
The script probably does document.write-s, so it just cannot be aggregated. either exclude it from being optimized (look for a unique string, probably a variable name and add it to the js exclude list) or wrap it in noptimize-tags (cfr. FAQ under “what is noptimize?”).

The script is below. I’m not 100% sure from your instructions which bit to wrap in noptimize tags or add to the exclude list? Is it all of the script, or just a particular bit?

wrap the entire block of code in noptimize-tags, that should take care of it.

Hi Frank, wrapping the code in the noptimize tags didn’t seem to work, but I tried ticking the ‘look for scripts only in head’ box, and that seemed to do the trick. Just thought I’d let you know. Thanks for your help.
