Support » Plugin: Advanced Ads – Ad Manager & AdSense » Amazon Affiliate Ads not showing

  • Resolved storepaperoomates

    I’m new to the Plugin and to WordPress.

    I’m using the Plugin to display ads but all ads are showing except for Amazon Ads. When I put the Amazon Ads, it shows “Bad gateway” in page source.

    All other ads are working fine.

    Any ideas on what might be causing the problem.

    Hi storepaperoomates,

    Thanks for reaching out.

    I visited your website and noticed Amazon banners on your homepage.

    Could you solve your problem on your own in the meantime? Or does this error still appear when you inject those ads anywhere else than on the homepage?

    Best regards,

    Hello @schmidt25

    Actually the banner were inserted via a custom HTML block.

    When I insert them via Advanced Ads, the space for the Ad is created but the actual ads never actual show up.

    In the meantime I have resorted to using the custom html module.

    I think it’s the Amazon Ads. Because, all other ads created with Advanced Ads are showing up.

    Hi storepaperoomates,

    Please excuse me for losing sight of this ticket a little. If the ads are displayed in the standard HTML widget, I think the problem has more to do with Advanced Ads than with Amazon.

    Is it possible to post the ad code here so I can try it out for myself? If not, I would be grateful if you could send the ad code in a message to our support channel and refer to this thread.

    Thanks in advance and best regards,

    It’s okay.

    Here is the Code I want to display.

    <div class="alignleft">
         <script type="text/javascript">
           	amzn_assoc_ad_type = "banner";
    	amzn_assoc_marketplace = "amazon";
    	amzn_assoc_region = "US";
    	amzn_assoc_placement = "assoc_banner_placement_default";
    	amzn_assoc_campaigns = "primemain";
    	amzn_assoc_banner_type = "promotions";
    	amzn_assoc_p = "12";
    	amzn_assoc_banner_id = "028WNSXDMC6H5YDNCB82";
    	amzn_assoc_width = "300";
    	amzn_assoc_height = "250";
    	amzn_assoc_tracking_id = "storepaperoom-20";
    	amzn_assoc_linkid = "ef0ef474fd4802734ec3671ba62ff8d0";
         <script src="//"></script>

    Hi @storepaperoomates,

    Thanks for posting the ad code.

    I pasted it into a new ad unit that I assigned to the sidebar. The ad appeared immediately. I also tested some features of Advanced Ads Pro like lazyloading and cache-busting. Everything worked without any issues.

    Do you remember if you defined any conditions for this ad unit when you tried to inject it via Advanced Ads?

    Best regards,
