    Delete the root .htaccess file and the wp-admin .htaccess file. A common cause of an infinite redirect loop is the ErrorDocument directive in the root .htaccess file on Hosts/Servers that are using their own method of handling errors at the Server level.

    The ErrorDocument directive is a redirect based on the HTTP Status Response code.

    Example: ErrorDocument 403 /some-path/some-file.php means when a 403 error occurs redirect to the path/file specified.

    If you deleted the BPS root .htaccess file then the redirect loop is being caused by something else. Post the Server log redirect error. Also just for good measure go to Settings >>> Permalinks and save your permalinks again.

    Did you have Cloudflare .htaccess code in your original .htaccess file? Maybe that is the problem. Check if you need to add Cloudflare .htaccess code to your root .htaccess file.

    [ip] => 108.162.198.46

                [type] => NS
                [target] => nina.ns.cloudflare.com
                [class] => IN

    Yes, if you delete the root .htaccess file then you would also be checking for a chmod permissions problem in the root .htaccess file so deleting the root .htaccess would also automatically fix that problem. BPS does not apply/chmod any other permissions to any folders or files besides the root .htaccess file.
