That sentence should indeed be translated in the .po/.mo localization files for the language it concerns. I just tested this with Loco Translate, which works on my end.
Note that in Loco Translate you might have to “Sync” before translating, and ensure to click “Save” when you’re done.
And if you then visit the language version of your site where you adjusted the translation for, it should now appear:

CZ translation is OK now. But in DE version it’s still in english and I can’t figure out the reason. I’ve also checked DE translation with Loco and the right translation “Immer aktive” in complianz-gdpr-de_DE.po file is present.
complianz-gdpr-de_DE.mo/.po files are placed in /wp-content/languages/plugins/, both WP and browser cache is cleared.

Are you using the “Formal” variant of German on this website, by any chance?
As in that case, the file(s) under /wp-content/languages/plugins/ should be named:
complianz-gdpr-de_DE_formal.po
complianz-gdpr-de_DE_formal.mo
If that doesn’t help yet, I would try downloading a fresh copy of the German translations. Visit this page and click the “Stable” version of the desired language, then scroll down until you find the option to “Export” the translations.
Select Export “all current” as Portable Object Message (.po/pot) and download these files, then do the same for Machine Object Message (.mo). Make sure to rename them (complianz-gdpr-de_DE, complianz-gdpr-de_DE_formal etc) before uploading to the /wp-content/languages/plugins/ directory.

When checking this page with the German translations, you will find that “Always active” has in fact been correctly translated in the German translation files.
I would recommend checking with a plugin such as Loco Translate whether the “Always active” text for German on your site contains that same translation as well.

I’ve already checked it. And the translations are (and were) in the .mo file => /wp-content/languages/plugins/complianz-gdpr-de_DE.mo.
So must be caused by something else. I just can’t figure out the reason.

I don’t really have any further leads as to why that occurs on your environment specifically.
To verify whether I was not missing anything obvious here, I configured yet another sandbox environment with Complianz Free & PolyLang: both at their latest available versions.
I started out with English and created a German version, had to update the German translations once under Dashboard > Updates; and it instantly works upon doing so.

Perhaps starting from a clean slate (as far as the German translations are concerned) would be the best option in your case, as I can’t really explain why you would have a correct translation in your .mo/po files, but another one appears, while all other languages work correctly.

Ok & thank you!
Czech translation file for Complianz on the same website works and i have no clue why the german one doesn’t. (Move “always active” among another strings in Polylang would make sense in future updates).

Just to clarify: String translation in PolyLang is used for customizable fields, and as the ‘Always active’ text is not customizable (unlike fields such as Cookie Banner message, title, buttons etc) it is included in the .po/mo localization files instead.
