• Hi. Thanks for taking the time to help me. I’ve spent hours reading documentation and am stumped. I am blind and cannot use a mouse to drag widgets onto my sidebars. I’m confined to using a keyboard since the mouse requires vision. Is there something I can type into my sidebar php files in order to display the text and category widgets? My theme does support them. This is just a mechanical issue I’d face with any site requiring drag and drop to change things. Thanks for any help any of you can provide. 🙂

  • I cannot suggest anything right now, but the next version of WordPress, 2.5, which is planned for release in March, should address this issue to a good degree. That is, it will if the developers don’t lose their heads and try to get fancy about it…

What I have seen of it still has some drag and drop features for re-arranging where widgets are placed on the sidebar, but adding and removing widgets will be done through link selections.

Thanks for your help. I hope the March update will work well. In the meantime, I’m going to bribe my teenaged daughter with ITunes credits to help me fix my widgets. 🙂
