Support » Plugin: Advanced Editor Tools » Alternative link dialog ?

  • Hello,
I use TinyMCE to create anchor and link them. It works great for that when I activate the Alternative Link dialog.
But, when it’s activated, and I want to do a link to another page, the link dialog box is not able to show me other page/post ‘s url… (only the anchor of the page I working on). So each time I want to link to another page, I need to go and find the exact URL, which is pretty annoying.

Is there a way to keep the wp link suggestion activated ?

  • I’d like this to work too. It’s a pain having to go to a URL on my site to add a link. If it worked, I could get rid of a rel-link plugin that hasn’t been updated in years.

Actually, the solution is pretty simple (even it’s not a REAL solution).
The first time the linked is created trough the TinyMCE editor. But when you want to edit it after, you will have the WP link box open.
    Voilà !

Yeah, I think the workaround would be the best option here. The first time a link is created WP’s “inline link” can be used as it lets you link to internal pages. Then when the link is edited the TinyMCE dialog can be used to set “advanced options”.

Thank you Andrew for your answer!
