• I have altered the default Theme (the one based on Kubrick) to have the sidebar on the left, and obviously altered some of the CSS,

    however users can no longer view or post comments, under the post it will say there are 2 comments but you can’t see them or add a new one, if i change themes to the unaltered default the comments work correctly.

    Any ideas would be appreciated

    oops sorry thought it was against forum rules

    It would help if you had a couple more posts and at least 1 post with some comments and/or comments turned on.

    should have a comment on it, and the comments are turned on

    All that page displays is:

    >style type="text/css" media="screen"> #page { background: url("http://webzings.com/new_web/wp-content/themec/nzei/images/kubrickbg-ltr.jpg") repeat-y top; border: none; }

    you’ve lost me

    The page shows up fine here, just the comments are missing and inaccessible, I am not sure what you are trying to tell me

    The page was broken when I tried to view it last night.

    You need to check your theme’s page.php file. In fact I’d suggest that make a copy of the page.php file from the default theme and start moving the sidebar over to the left again.

    Hi esmi thanks for all your help, I think I may have been barking up the wrong tree and been wasting your time

    It seems the problem only applies to pages not posts, for some reason pages comments don’t work (but posts do), I have no idea why as I am allowing comments on some pages but it seems to affect all templates equally.

    Your theme may not include a comment-enabled page.php template. However, that’s easily fixed by adding <?php comments_template();?> at the end of the Loop.

    Thank you , Thank you , Thank you it’s so obvious when you think about it, it just didn’t click that pages.php was the page template.

    Again thank you
