Alter Header in the Backbone Theme

  • Hi all

Just recently (very recently in fact) started my wordpress.org site after being on wordpress.com for several months. As such i’m a little bit of a novice when it comes to all things technical, but slowly and surly working my around the backbone theme.

    my Blog is http://www.turndogmillionaire.com

    and my question is this:

I would like to add a search bar to the top right hand corner of the page, with two button just below, one for a link to my about me, and the other to a link to a contact form. At the moment there is a huge white space to the right of my logo, and i’d like the search bar on the other side, with an advert for my future book in the middle

I’m guessing I need to change some CSS (* i have used this a little via my wordpress.com site), but have no idea where to start.

Any ideas guys? Anyone with expert tips for using the backbone theme? There seems to be very little in terms of videos and tutorials out there
