# Alt attribute error

 * On this page I see no image and the message “this image has a missing alt attribute”
   I understand that it is expecting to see alt=”something”, however I have looked
   at the HTML code and I find other images on other pages (see Broadland) have 
   itdentical HTML and those images display

 * The thumbnail image file referenced in the 2nd code does not exist. See: [http://broadlandmodelrailwayclub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Broad-Oak-9.19a-300×225.jpg](http://broadlandmodelrailwayclub.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Broad-Oak-9.19a-300×225.jpg)
 * The message you see in the block editor indicates exactly this error. If you 
   click on the message, you should also see the block options for images, including
   where you can replace the file. Try to find the image you want to see and set
   it again.
 * It is also possible that the original image file exists, but not the smaller 
   thumbnail that is referenced here. With plugins such as [https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/)
   you can regenerate these thumbnails and possibly solve the problem. If you do
   this, pay attention to the displayed dimensions to see if they match what is 
   currently not available.
