    I don’t use BuddyPress, I can’t tell.

A BuddyPress fork exists on Github :

    Hi nleomine

It looks like this fork is to allow users to choose whether they’ll be receiving emails as HTML or plain text. I’m finding that wp-better-emails is not fully working with “BuddyPress Group Email Subscription” plugin.

When I chose ‘All Email’ – the email uses my template set in the WP Better Emails plugin which is great, but ‘Daily Digest’ and ‘Weekly Summary’ use the Group Email Subscription default HTML which isn’t formatted as I would like. Do you know how can I set daily and weekly to use WP Better Emails?

    Thanks

I don’t know how this plugin works. You have to find a way to change the content type and set it to text/plain. Either with an option if the plugin offers it. Or with a hook.
Unfortunately, this plugin dosen’t seem to provide any way to achieve this as you can see line 527. Content type is hard coded.

You can still hack WP Better Emails to skip the plain text condition and see if it works (it will probably look messy because both HTML template will be mixed).

Hi nlemoine – many thanks for your reply and ideas. I think I’ll try to live with the poor formatting for the moment, maybe try to add a header image or something.
