“Already voted” for users who didn’t vote.

    Hello,

    This might be a simple or very difficult question. If I upload a poll and vote on it in my computer, and someone else in my same house tries to open and vote on it, it displays “”you have already voted”. I believe this may be because the plugin registers the vote as some kind of IP address, therefore everyone in the same house will be treated as one user. I don’t know if that statement is correct but it might be something like that.

    Some plugins, like WP Ulike, allow the admin to log likes according to “cookies” or username. This would facilitate and would let everyone vote. Is this possible on this plugin?

    There is an option to limit by such a “user id” that eliminates this problem, but ends up allowing you to vote several times, mainly from the cell phone.

    Thank you for the topic and for the comment.

    Regarding the IP detection method, your mention scenario can be possible as the system detects the users by their IPs and if their devices (mobiles) are connected to the same WIFI/Internet provider than their IPs are the same.

    On the other hand, we have Detect By User ID method, which will work perfectly for your case as it depends on the wp user ID.

    Thanks for the reply. You are right, the user ID method works (although if a user is not logged in, votes, and then refreshed the page he/she can vote again). That should be fixed.

    On another note, is there a way that you could give us the options to “bulk edit” some of these global settings? I am using this plugin to create more than 100 polls, and it is a pain to change the setting for User ID 100s of times. Can you make a bulk editing option for these types of settings? The same happens for the “show title” option.

    Or maybe create a page where we can tweak these settings and it will affect all of the polls.
