Alphabetized Links and Categories

Running wordpress 2.0, I want my categories list to be alphatized.

I have no clue how to achieve this other than starting the blog over and entering them one by one in the numerical order.

is there some way to do this? a plugin? I’ve looked but found nothing. You’d think this would be a basic feature and I’m sure i’m just overlooking it.
