 * You should be able to make something like this with [tabby responsive tabs](http://https://wordpress.org/plugins/tabby-responsive-tabs/)
   by setting up a tabgroup with a tab for each letter. You will probably need to
   add a little custom css to mske the tabs small enough to fit onto a single row
