    Hello,

A past user ran into some issues and it looks like the issue hasn’t been resolved. The original post was closed to any replies. So here is a new one.

“When clicking the URL to add the coupon, if the cart is empty or there is no session yet, the coupon won’t persist. Also, no error will be returned in this case.”

What do I do to fix this? The coupon will not show in the cart.

I set the slug to: /coupon?code=100FREEENTRIES as the user in the last post suggested.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @ragdollhola,

This is something we weren’t able to solve in this free plugin, but we did solve it in its successor Advanced Coupons (https://advancedcouponsplugin.com)

    Hope this helps!

I still don’t see this being fixed. Perhaps I am doing something wrong or haven’t set something up yet. I’m not tremendously knowledgeable with these things.

so someone clicks on this url https://yeswild.co/coupon/100entries/ and it redirects to https://yeswild.co/jesse-richman but then when they select a product and no coupon applies at checkout.. **note that my store skips add to cart and goes direct to checkout.

Do I need to do something stated in the settings (shown below)?

“Optional. Will redirect the user to the provided URL when coupon has been applied. You can also pass query args to the URL for the following variables: {acfw_coupon_code}, {acfw_coupon_is_applied} or {acfw_coupon_error_message} and they will be replaced with proper data. Eg. ?foo={acfw_coupon_error_message}, then test the ‘foo’ query arg to get the message if there is one.”

My goal here is to be able to use these URL coupon links so that people can land on this page: https://yeswild.co/jesse-richman then select the number of entries they want, and then on the checkout page have the coupon automatically applied.

Is this possible? the features video skipped over the URL portion of the settings.

    thanks,
    Zach

    Hey Zach,

Looks like we have this queued up for release still. It’s not you.

Though, can I enquire which hosting you are using?

Ideally, could we move this chat to support? https://advancedcouponsplugin.com/support/

Just flick me a ticket there as this isn’t really related to the old URL coupons plugin now.

    Cheers,
    Josh
