 * This is exactly what I’ve been working for, but it doesn’t seem to work.
 * Using the shortcode straight out of the examples, only changing the post id. 
   The gallery is displayed but it’s not limiting the images.

 * iThemes Builder has a setting to mess with the gallery shortcode. Not only does
   it mess with your plugin, but it also messes with Jetpack.
 * All is well, 6 out of 5 stars.
