Hi! Could you help me explain how can add Rest API call to allowlist. I’ve tried so many combinations, because Live traffic doesn’t show anything and learning mode doesn’t help. I mean when learning mode is enabled I can upload file through rest api with no problem. but if firewall enabled is being blocked by firewall. Since “*” param for url still not working what I have to put as param (where I can find correct param(checked access logs and error logs))? https://www.awesomescreenshot.com/image/24268989?key=96f69300035ee76527794c313f7902b4 Thanks!

Hi @alexhlr, thanks for reaching out to us.

In some cases due to PHP8, customers have been having issues with allowlisting actions such as uploads through Gravity Forms. Your screenshot with reference to “gf” in the path I believe is also related to this plugin.

I recommend visiting Wordfence > All Options > Firewall Options > Advanced Firewall Options > Rules and turning off the following rules before trying again:

    • Malicious File Upload
    • Malicious File Upload (PHP)
    • Malicious File Upload (Patterns)

If this works, try re-enabling them one-by-one until it fails again. Only leave the rules active going forward that don’t affect Gravity Forms.

    Thanks,

    Peter.

    Thanks for you help!
Turning off Malicious File Upload (PHP) helped me to pass uploading file through rest api.

That’s great news @alexhlr, thanks for letting me know.

If you have further Wordfence questions in future, by all means start a new topic and we’ll always be glad to help out.

    Peter.
