    Can anyone tell me how to enable comments on my posts without making the commenter have to sign in. What if people who are visiting just want to make anonymous comments, there must be a way.

    1) Go to your dashboard and find the tickbox that says “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”, and un-check it. You need to be aware of and accept the repercussions that may be associated with that setting and take proper steps to harden yourself against spam or worse.

    2) Upgrade WordPress. You are running an insecure version…

    WordPress version: 2.3.1

    but ultimately, that too, is your choice to make.
