Allowing Admin to add reviews

    Hi

    Is there a way I can add reviews in the admin? I have reviews on another site and I would like to add them to my website. I can easily add them manually as there is not that many but there doesn’t seam to be a way to add them through admin. I don’t want to make a user profile for all these people who have left reviews on the other site as that would take to long.

    Hi,

    You don’t have to create a user profile to add reviews from front-end.

    Please go to WordPress Settings > Discussion and uncheck Users must be registered and logged in to comment checkbox.

    After that you will be able to add (on front-end) all the reviews without creating the account for them. Just logout from admin account before you start adding them.

    Can I change the order the reviews are displayed? I want old ones on the bottom and new ones on the top. At the moment it is the otherway round.

    Hi

    I worked out how to change the order the reviews are displayed. I just went to WordPress Settings > Discussion and changed
    Comments should be displayed with the older comments at the top of each page
    to
    Comments should be displayed with the newer comments at the top of each page

    Just in case anyone else wants the same.

    The problem with this solution is they won’t have the users avatar. Oh well, I will just have to make individual user accounts. Unless there is another way to add the avatars??

    When somebody leaves a review with email address associated with Gravatar the image will be taken from there.
