Allow users to tweet that they registered (4 posts)

    Hey everyone!

I've searched all of the plugins I could find but came up empty and was wondering if someone else could chime in with some ideas.

I'm looking for something that will allow users to tweet that they have registered. So, let's say I have something that redirects them to a page after registering that says something like "Tweet that you've taken the Pledge!" They could enter something in a box, or click a button that would pop up a Twitter box.

I know Twitter has official buttons and there are some button plugins, but, ideally, I would like to be able to pre-fill the box with information (that they can, of course, edit).

Any thoughts or suggestions you could offer would be greatly appreciated. :)

    Thanks so much!

I haven't been able to find anything. I'm open to any suggestions.

Well, I couldn't find a direct answer to this, but I did come up with a workaround of sorts. For anyone that might be interested:

I created a "thank you" page, then used http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/peters-login-redirect/ to redirect the users there after registration.

On the page, I included a link that will open up a pre-filled tweet. I got it from http://www.ehow.com/how_12109708_add-prefilled-tweet-wordpress-blog.html.

    The code is

    Tweet This!

(Remove the space after href, of course.)

What to do afterwards? I installed http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-profile-as-homepage/, then gave them a link to my homepage so they could go to their profile.

A little convoluted, but I didn't know what else to. I'm always open to suggestions.

LOL God, I suck at posting code. Let's try this.

<a href="http://twitter.com/home?status=YOUR URL AND STATUS TEXT HERE" target=”_blank”>Tweet it out!</a>
