allow user to add custom code to existing post

  • I’m trying to figure out how to allow users to add custom code to existing posts in the front end I’ve tried the plugins but I’m looking for the php code of it, I’ve know how to publish post in the front end but since thats publishing post and I’m looking for adding additional data to existing post? anyone know how?

  • Just edit the post? You can create users with limited editing/publishing abilities in the Dashboard.

    Or am I misunderstanding you?

    By “Adding custom code” you don’t mean HTML/CSS/PHP do you? If you do, if your users are admins and have FTP access, they can do that. It depends who you regard as your users. Users of your theme, for example, or end users.

    this for the front end and when i meant custom code i meant meta data so say a register user can add a rank to the post by entering a value for the post in the front end so they dont have to go to the dashboard to do it

    not really looking for ranks just something that i could add meta data but thanks
