# Allow list not working

 * I use a VPN and cannot access my own website, even with my IP address added to
   the allow list. I’ve been trying all morning to get the allow list to work but
   I still can’t get in. I’m having to use my phone without a VPN just to access
   the admin area.

 * In general, the allow list should have worked fine; there are no known issues
   with it at the moment, nor during testing.
 * Have you tried to rule out server cache? Please check if clearing the cache makes
   any difference or not.
 * If you still notice the same, could you please share the screenshot of the block
   message what you get so that we could have a better idea?
 * Also could you check the VPN IP in the logs under Defender > Firewalls > Logs
   and check for what specific reason it got blocked too?

 * Thank you for your reply. The only way I could gain access was to use a different
   IP address, even though the one I wanted unblocking was in the allow list. I 
   haven’t checked the logs as yet, but at least I’m back in.
