Oh and in addition could you make this plugin easier to manage for multisite so the settings can be managed at the network level? Thanks again!

    Hi,

You can use this plugin (also mine) – just add a wildcard for all feed URLs. I will think about whether to add it to this plugin – I often find that adding too many edge case options confuses people, and simple is better sometimes.

Multisite – will sort this out in the next release.

Your other plugin is a little different than what i need. My site has copyright material so i had a need to remove /feed from urls form the default wordpress. The other plugin is for posts that are gone. In my case /feed is not a post.

    Appreciate the quick response(s)

To prevent confusion you can just default to 404. Advanced users will know what to change it to.

You can use it to specify any URL by wildcard – whether or not it is a post.

You can already choose between 404/redirect – look under Settings -> Reading.

I will look into the other plugin more, as i am not understanding at this time. I will install tomorrow AM and see if its what i need. My concern is that all urls will 410 when they don’t exist, but i just want it for /feed items; other posts that go away can be 404; but as stated without installing i can’t wrap my head around it (2AM here and tired).

Yes i see i can choose between 404 and redirect, i was hoping to have a 410 option.
