• Hello,

I’m starting an e-commerce site using woocommerce that transcribes audio/video and looking to pick some of your brains on the best way to add certain functionality…

Basically what I want to do is allow the customer to upload an audio/video file, the site then measures how long the file is in minutes and then spits out a price based on the length of the media (e.g. $1 per min). Once this happens the customer could then continue on and proceed to check out. Once payment is made, a confirmation email would be sent to me outlining the order with the file they uploaded attached.

Can anybody tell me the best way to do this? My coding skills are not strong so I want to avoid coding from scratch. I was hoping there was a plugin I could leverage and then tweak for my needs. The closest thing I’ve found was this “woocommerce upload before add-on” (https://wpfortune.com/shop/plugins/woocommerce-uploads-add-on/)

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

  • I’m in the same boat. Building a site for audio editing, and the biggest hurdle so far is figuring out how to get the site to calculate price based on the length of audio uploaded. Hope we find a solution.
