Allow clicking out-of-stock attributes

    Hi,

    we ask customers to sign-up for email updates regarding out-of-stock items. To facilitate this, we need the variation swatches to still be clickable for out-of-stock items.

    I can help with code changes – is the source code in github for me to fork?

    Hello @bl-solutions ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    If you’d like the swatches for out-of-stock products to remain clickable (for use with your email sign-up flow), you can simply toggle off the “Disable Out of Stock” option from the Variation Swatches plugin settings. This will allow those swatches to be selected even when the product variation is out of stock.

    Please give this a try and let us know if it works as expected.

    This is the behavior I get in the front end:

    All product variations are added to the product but only two of six variations are in stock.

    The others can not be selected though, because the variations are not clickable.

    Thanks for sharing the details and screenshots.

    Can you please double-check that the variation combinations you see as not selectable actually exist in the backend? When the “disable out of stock” option is disabled, only those variations that don’t exist in the backend (or are not configured properly) will appear as unclickable.

    For variations that do exist but are simply out of stock, it should still allow the selection and display the standard “Out of stock” message once the combination is chosen.

    Could you confirm this for the specific variations you’re testing?
