I was able to use a plugin that added a default image to the category to show if no image was provided
I’m looking for the same thing, can you tell me how you do that?

In my site i have some posts without feature images, so i want that in this case a default image is applied. Can this plugin do this? How? Where to set the default images for each category?

After Installing the plugin you go to your categories and click on edit of whichever one you want to add a image to. There is a function ,buttons, for adding an image save and you are finished.
Now when you create a post if you select a category it will include the image you attached to that category. Pretty sure thats how it does it
