I have not seen Allen in weeks, myself. However, I am sure the plugin will work for many WP-versions to come. I am glad to have found this plugin and will still use it, even if maybe abandoned…
But I will have to look for another one.
The problem with the display of the letter “ß” is still there. I tried to fix it by myself but I do not have really the time to look where the fault in the handling of codecs is.
Check excerpt_function.php (or maybe imposrt_posts.php?) and use str_replace to change ß to ss?
can we still download and use allen’s version ?? 4-26-15

Well, to change ß to ss is to tell me, I should change something correct to something which isn’t correct, not to display a character which is also not correct. 😉
But maybe I try – I would be looking a bit nicer!
