all translated with WPML pages are no indexed by Google

Hello,

The website in question has been translated in several languages more than a year ago. This month it has ceased to be indexed by Google. In Google SearchConsole all translated pages are considered as “Duplicated content: Submitted URL not selected as canonical”. We have Yoast SEO Multilingual and Yoast SEO Premium plugins installed, and I am wondering if we have to adjust any settings in Yoast, to resolve the problem. For example, should I mark every translation of the home page as canonical in “advanced” tab of Yoast Seo Premium?

Hi @marushkar,

We checked a translated page and found that the translations have the expected hreflang tags and the correct canonical URL pointing to the translation. Can you send us an example URL where this problem is happening?

Also, since you’re using WPML, can you also confirm that you have WPML’s add-on plugin Yoast SEO Multilingual installed and activated?

Hi Priscilla,

Looks like all URL within the italian or russian versions of the site are affected, speficially, I checked these pages below with Google Search Console:
https://www.cavalloisland.com/it/
https://www.cavalloisland.com/ru/
They are not indexed.
We have also a version in french (https://www.cavalloisland.com/fr/), and, surprisingly, Google has it in its index.
And yes, we do have Yoast SEO Multilingual installed and activated.
When I check https://www.cavalloisland.com/ in International Targeting report Google, it says that https://www.cavalloisland.com/it/ , https://www.cavalloisland.com/ru/ , https://www.cavalloisland.com/fr/ do not have back references.
