Custom Post Type UI
[resolved] All static pages display last posts instead of page content!!! (5 posts)

    Hello,

As the title suggests, all the content I had on static pages (eg http://www.justrunlah.com/calendar)
does not show, and the latest posts across all categories is shown instead!!!

The problem seems similar to this one: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/static-page-shows-posts-instead-of-page-content?replies=5
but I do not know enough programming to understand how to fix it.

The only changes lately were that I installed Custom Post Type UI and Advanced Custom Fields plug ins. I don't know if that caused the problem, but even when deactivating, the problem is not fixed.

Can someone help me with this rather serious problem? Or at least advise me how to go back to normal?

What template php files did the plug in override? Perhaps I can re-upload the originals...

    Thanks in advance

to clarify, it is not only the new custom post types that are not shown, but all the previously created pages which used to work fine.

    thanks

    update 2: I found this link http://wordpress.org/support/topic/all-pages-display-indexphp-instead-of-page-content?replies=5

which is very relevant I think. I also had the custom taxonomy "year".

HOWEVER, when I deleted this taxonomy, the problem remains. What can I do? Also, how to "refresh permalinks" as the poster of the other thread says?

    This also seems relevant: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/page-not-showing-page-content-but-most-recent-blog-post?replies=17

To refresh the permalinks at any time, just visit the permalinks settings page.

What custom post types, and what taxonomies have you registered?

Are you doing anything, anywhere with the query_posts() function to try and alter loaded content?

Hi Michael, it seems it was the "year" taxonomy that (temporarily) ruined my site after all.

I managed to get it back to normal after deleting this category, purging all cache and refreshing.

Please in future editions of the plugin have a warning about it.

Thanks for an otherwise excellent plugin!
