All Slugs redirecting to home page?

  • I’m using the built in WP “static” home page feature, and for some reason, when I try to use slugs, they keep getting redirected to the home page. So for instance, I have a page called “comics”, and I’ve checked like 5 times to make sure the slug is set to “comics”, but when I put in:

    http://www.mysite.com/blog/comics/

It loads the static home page instead!

    If I put in:

    http://www.mysite.com/blog/?page_id=5

(5 being the actual ID of the “comics” page)

It loads the right page! So using page ID numbers works fine, but slugs doesnt. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • Try the troubleshooting section: Using_Permalinks

You know, I was going to sigh and “I READ IT!!”, but I went back through one more time in detail, and after going to Manage -> Files, selecting .htaccess, and erasing all the content from my .htaccess file and then updating structure, as recommended, it seems to have fixed the problem. So, uh, thanks! 🙂
