I just received an email saying to update the slider plugin which I did. I then checked the site and it came up with an error that it couldn’t find the slider plugin. After a refresh the site came up but all of the sliders were gone. When I checked the slider admin dashboard there were no sliders installed. I had 5 sliders each with at least 10 images.
    The site is http://www.carissamarshphotography.co.nz/blog/

As an update I have had to manually re-install all 5 sliders.

@rusty_compass we are begging your pardon about this. Is there any chance you could name your php version, please? Looks like the issue is coming from old version of php. As an alternative you may give us the link to your website.

I have the same issue. All my slides have gone. 🙁

Reverted back to the previous version.
Thanks God the sliders are still here.

I’ve just lost all my sliders having updated to V4. Rollback resolved this. Looks like the latest update has a problem

    Dear user,

We don’t want to commit frequent updates over here, this is why we suggest the beta version of the upcoming update to be downloaded from our GitHub project. The other reason is that we are still testing the reported fatal error that happens to appear on websites with really older version of PHP. Otherwise, the update will become available on WordPress during the next 48 hours, until we finalize the issue. As for now, you could help us with the test.

Please, follow the link to download the file:

Same here..all sliders on all pages of client’s website disappeared after updating to the latest version. She’s not happy. When will this be fixed or should I revert to a backed up version of the site?

I just downgraded to the 3.2.3 version because the same reason. I just open a new topic here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/sliders-wipeout-after-update-from-3-2-3-to-4-0/

The new version uses a new databases tables and forgets about the old ones.

    Dear users,

We are begging your pardon for the inconvenience caused.

Please, be kindly informed that we have fixed the issue in 4.0.1, give a try on a test website and let us know if that worked. Otherwise, send us an email to info [at] huge-it.com and we will try to fix it with developers.

Please, keep on updating us about the results

Sorry for late reply – I have been using php 5.6 if that’s any help?

I am having the same issue! My client’s slider is gone! What do I do? They are trying to rebuild it but this is a hassle.
