All posts disappeared – but more troubling: cannot add new posts

All of my posts just disappeared. I was on the site, left and came back 5 minutes later and all was gone. The only thing I can think of is this: I had a draft saved and could not get it to publish 2 days ago. I made an entire new post and named it the same thing and published it this morning. Tonight I moved the old draft to the trash.

Could that be related? More important – what would prevent publishing new posts? I can put a post together and publish, and it just disappears.
